About us

Who are we?

The New Hampshire Brazilian Council was created by a group of individuals and religious leaders in the Brazilian community in Nashua, NH during the mobilization for the Drive Safe Campaign to give undocumented immigrants the ability to obtain a driver's license in the State of New Hampshire.

The first name chosen by the group was New Hampshire Brazilian Organization. After a couple of months under the name, the group had asked if United Way of Greater Nashua could become the fiscal agent for the newly-named New Hampshire Brazilian Council. The NH Brazilian Council continues to operate under the United Way of Greater Nashua's umbrella in order to provide services to our Brazilian population and other immigrants in our state.

Nashua has the biggest Brazilian population in the state, and we will continue to fight hard to make sure our people receive the services that they need and continue to be great contributors to our state.
